Last weekend we were invited to showcase a booth at the Guildhall in Winchester, a stunning Victorian era civic building that sits in the centre of the City.
The Winchester event was organised by Grainne Stephens of Espresso Events, a venue finding and event planning company. It was obvious that Grainne had put her all into this event as when I wrote to her the evening before to thank her for some organisational details and the RESERVED parking space, I had a response within 5 minutes!
So, a well organised event in a beautiful venue (with a lift), that was easy to get to! Not all wedding fairs are like this. Furthermore, Grainne had put a lot of work into promoting the fair as there was a steady stream of people through the course of the day.
There was one little hitch for us as we had brought the gigantic inflatable photobooth but when we inflated it, it sort of took over the room – as it tends to do! The main function hall (image below) was much bigger than the side room in which the wedding fair was being held and it is this kind of venue that benefits from the personality that the inflatable booth offers.
So, it’s just as well that we have a plan B with our photobooth equipment in the form of our photopod. The photopod that is used inside the inflatable can be used on it’s own in smaller spaces. It’s a completely self contained photobooth with large screen, a high end SLR camera, high power light strobe, photoprinter, internet connectivity (for instant soical media uploads) and a big red button that leaves the punters with no doubt as to how they operate it!
